Maruti has been pushing its NEXA dealerships to bring a change in the perception customers have with the brand and to bring more youth into the fold as well. With the NEXA business being two models strong, Maruti is making sure that the two models, S-Cross and the Baleno stay fresh for the market. For the same, Maruti has just given both NEXA models minor updates albeit silently.
For the Maruti S-Cross, the update comes in the form of a new design for its alloy wheels in the form of a new 16-inch gun metal alloy rims. On the other hand, the Maruti Baleno has acquired ISOFIX child seat points making it compliant to the rules set by BNVSAP or Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program. The addition of the new child seat installation and safety points takes Baleno’s safety package stronger with the already standard dual airbags along with ABS with EBD being offered. You also get seat belt pre-tensioner, force limiters and reminder for driver. Adding to these are LED DRLs, reverse parking sensors and reverse parking camera.
At the same time Maruti is preparing to add another model to its NEXA line with the launch of Ignis in the Indian market. The launch for the car has been scheduled for January 13th. With the Ignis, Maruti is vying to lure youth into its fold with a car that has a quirky but a deeply interesting design and street presence.
