Both the power trains are powerful and also produce linear performance. Though the gear shifting is smooth, and clutch is light however petrol engine isn’t rev-happy and diesel mill is also too noisy. Yet the ride and handling is balanced by its 24% more rigid body-built and flexible suspension though the small width tyres affect its handling. Moreover, at high revs both engines get very noisy.
The Hyundai Verna gives tough competition to Honda city. But there is cut throat completion in this segment. Ford fiesta, VW Vento, Skoda Rapid, Nissan sunny, Renault scala, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is competing each other.
