Mercedes Benz GLA Class, is manufactured in 4 variants in India in the form of 2 Petrol and 2 Diesel cars. The car is available in 4 colors, namely, Cirrus White, Jupiter Red, Orient Brown and Polar Silver. The Germans are known to build the safest cars; and the best manufacturers of cars all across the world. There are certain expectations adjoined with the name. Unveiled by the company in 2013, the Mercedes Benz GLA Class is neither a complete SUV nor a complete sedan. Originally based on the A-class by the same company, GLA class has come out as an improved version of the A-class and probably the best SUV that anyone could opt for.
The car mirrors an amplified version of the A-class with a cumbersome exterior. It has a huge bonnet that is greatly disproportion to the car which was originally meant to be smaller, but came out as a bigger SUV. Two engine options are available for this car. One is the 2.0 Litre turbo petrol, and the other is the 2.1 liters turbocharged diesel. The SUV has marvelous petrol and diesel specs. The petrol engine exhibits 183 horsepower and a 300 NM between 1200-1400 RPM, whereas, the diesel variant gives an impressive 134bhp and 300Nm. It has a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that works better than the A-class.
A fuel efficiency of 12.8 kmpl is given by the 2143 diesel variant, while the Petrol variant offers a mileage of 9 kmpl , respectively.
